For the second consecutive year Porsche has become the official automotive partner of the prestigious BNP Paribas ‘WTA (Womens Tennis Association) Finals Singapore presented by SC Global 2016.’
In conjunction with the event, which runs from 23 to 30 October, Porsche will be introducing the new Cayenne Platinum Edition that comes with a number of exclusive design features, including 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design that are housed in wider wheel arches, a special interior featuring leather sports seats with 8-way electric adjustment, Alcantara-covered centre panels and the Porsche crest on all of the headrests. Also standard in this model are Bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist in the front and rear.
The five-door compact SUV Porsche Macan will also be making an appearance and a fleet of 40 Porsches will chauffeur all of the officials and players at the WTA finals in Singapore.
Porsche has been supporting women’s tennis since 1978 when it first launched the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, Europe’s oldest women’s indoor tournament.
The company’s support for ladies tennis is also headlined for its backing of international tennis star, Angelique Kerber, who is also Porsche’s global brand ambassador.
According to Martin Limpert, Managing Director of Porsche Asia Pacific: “Porsche places strong interest in women’s tennis in line with our growing female customer group and close association to tennis as one of our customers’ preferred sports and hobbies. The fact that our brand ambassador is ahead in the competition and has been performing well makes us very happy.”
